33 day consecration to Mary - help!

I have undertaken to complete the 33 day total consecration to Our Lady, but I have fallen behind with the daily readings 😦
I really hoped to be able to take consecration vow on the feast of the Annunciation but am now wondering if I should put it off or if I could spend time catching up on the readings to get myself up to speed?

I would appreciate any thoughts on this, especially from people who maybe had to play catchup, so I don’t feel like such a bad person!

I did the 33 day consecration and fell WAY behind on the readings. I caught up on the readings and made my consecration on Jan 1st- the Feast day of the Mother of God. I felt guilty for falling behind, and even prayed that Mary would bless me, even though I wasn’t worthy. However, I ended up receiving many spiritual blessings following my consecration.

Plus, you can do the consecration more than once.
 
Advice I’ve heard is to keep going, even if you fall behind. There’s a 5 part series on youtube of a priest discussing this very subject. He has never met anyone who was able to say it perfectly the first time, and that the first time is the hardest.
 
I failed the traditional Louis de Montfort method. I highly recommend 33 Days to Morning Glory by Fr. Gaitley. The readings are fairly short and thought provoking but there are no set prayers to pray (although he does not discourage saying the prayers of the de Montfort formula). God bless you on your journey! My 2nd anniversary of the consecration will happen on the Feast of the Assumption 🙂

Can you take more than 33 days to go through the personal retreat? In other words, can I start early, miss a day or two and still finish on a feast day? Or is 33 consecutive days the only way to go?
