I have a priest friend who jokingly says he’ll buy a steak dinner for anyone who confesses something he hasn’t heard before. Course, he’s been ordained a few years now. 🙂

.
Can I test him ??? blush: though he’d have to come to England first and sadly I have already confessed it in confession a very long time ago so probably wont count on his agenda : 🙂

Hello friends,

I grew up a Methodist and will be receiving the Sacraments of Initiation this Easter Vigil. I am so exited. I am married to a Catholic Woman and we were married through the Catholic Church 12 years ago. I finally felt a calling to join the Church, and I have no doubt this is the right decision and one of the most important in my life. I am going to do my first confession this coming week and I am nervous! I was a pretty sinful guy in my youth and still am not perfect. I am worried the Father who confesses me will think less of me cause of all the things I have done and have failed to do. Pray for me so that I may confess everything and be forgiven. Thanks!
Welcome home! I was confirmed last year at Easter Vigil. I was a life-long Southern Baptist and made my first confession at 33 years old. I too was nervous, but I must tell you that confession was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I felt such a relief from the burden of lifetime of sin that was weighing on my shoulders that I cried. I am so thankful to God for bringing me into his fold and for giving us the sacrament of confession. I know that it will be a blessing in your life.

God Bless!
