I was wondering if anyone in the forum was in a third degree order. I’m not trying to be nosey, but I have been interested in this and do not know much about it. I would like to find out if there are any in SC near me but do not know how. I don’t wish to ask my Priest because frankly, I dont know if God is calling me to this or if it is just my own idea if that mkaes sense? You can PM me if you want with any help. When I was a Prot. I felt that God had called me to the ministery once. Now I am married and have three kids and am Catholic, I’ve heard a little about the third degree orders but dont know how to get info. Thanks

You can search online for information about most of the third orders. I personally have been looking into the Secular Franciscan Order, which is the lay version of the Third Order for Franciscans. There is also a group call Third Order Franciscans but they are mainly for priest/brothers that want to live similar to 1st Order Franciscans but live more “in the world” then the 1st Order Franciscans.

The link to SFO is here:
nafra-sfo.org/

You need to determine which type of spirituality you are interested in. Each of the Orders has it’s own charisms based on the rules associated with their founders. If you want a little more info on SFO feel free to PM me.

Thanks , That will help a lot! I just need to know what direction to look . I’ll get back with you soon.
