Is anyone here a fan of the (now in re-runs) tv series,
3rd ROCK FROM THE SUN ?

I loved the show. Wacky aliens from outer space assuming human form and living together as a family. And with very common names:
Tom, Dick, Harry, and Sally.
And the aliens (wouldn’t ya know it),
chose a Jewish last name for themselves: Solomon.

I thought the show was hilarious, and I understand it is now out on DVD…

One of my favorite shows.

I love Sally. One of my favorite episodes was when she wants to become pregnant. And than she realizes how the baby comes out. It is funny.

I remember one crazy episode wherein Jane Curtin leaves Dick (John Lithgow) to watch over her aquarium of exotic fish.
Dick is fascinated by the fish, and decides to help her out by adding one to her collection. Of course, he adds a big
Angel Fish, and the thing eats all of her other fish and she goes ballistic…

Great show!
My favorites were Sally and Dick, in that order.
I loved the episode where all 4 of them moved into an HOA where the walls. carpet, and even their clothes were all alike. So funny!

I thought it was a great show as well and I never started watching it until the repeats would come on every night at around midnight or so. I used to really annoy my dad watching all the late night repeat shows keeping my tv on when he was trying to sleep. He would always threaten to take it away from me but he never did and eventually just bought me some cordless headphones.

I used to watch that show a long time ago. It was hilarious, but to be honest, I don’t know if seeing it on dvd would be the same.

Another great moment from the series was when William Shattner had a guest appearance. The aliens had to meet him at the airport. When he comes off the plane, Shatner and Lithgow start talking about seeing a creature on the wing. The reference is to a classic Twilight Zone episode in which a pre-Star Trek Shattner is the only passenger on an airplane who can see a gremlin on the wing. That episode, and a remake of it starring, you guessed it, John Lithgow, were part of “The Twilight Zone Movie.”

I used to love to watch that show. My favourite character was Don the cop, Don & Sally scenes were always the funniest.
I can remember Dick Solomon looking at himself in the mirror on one occasion & shouting"Look at you! You’re gorgeous!".My friend sometimes says this when she sees her reflection, to get a a laugh out of me.
But the great John Lithgow will always be “beezee” {Santa Claus the Movie} in my mind. It was the first film I ever seen at the cinema when I was five years old.:irish2:
