Please pray for me and my future husband as we approach the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony!

And pray that I don’t lose my MIND as I try to finish up all the details!!!

Take a deep breath! 😃

I am 12 days away from my wedding, very excited and yes, stressed out! Planning a wedding is such a lot of work, when you are trying to save money. I think mine will be beautiful, and I can’t wait for the day. Then either everything will be done, or it will be too late to do them so it won’t matter! It is a beautiful sacrament, and I never thought I would get to be married because I converted in a state with very few Catholics. But I followed the Truth into the Church, and met my future husband who was teaching RCIA!

🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

I lost about 10 pounds from worry 2 weeks prior to my wedding. My dress was loose and I was sick with a cold on my wedding day. Everything went along beautifully but I was sick…

My poor sister-in-law did the same thing.

Listen to me.

Relax…try not to worry. Keep everything in perspective and don’t run your mind and body down.

A word to the wise. If your dress has a train to it, be aware that one escorting you down the aisle (father) will probably step on it once you’re at the end of the aisle.

The two of you walk down and stand at the end of the aisle. Your dad kisses you and you’re supposed to walk with your groom to the altar. Well, a lot of times the dad is caught up in the moment and doesn’t realize he’s got his foot on your train. Let the best man know ahead of time so he can gently move your father off the train.

I was warned ahead of time and it happened to me. :yup:

And remember, if anything does go amiss (like us forgetting our runner), it’s all memories.

Beautiful memories.

I will pray for you all! I hope that God blesses you with a beautiful wedding; I found that (at my wedding not that long ago) things go so well because you’re so happy and Spirit-filled that you don’t notice the small things until after!!! And good luck to all you Phase II honeymooners! Be strong and find something fun to do together, (we enjoyed the pool and coloring books, lol)!

Everything will go fine, I know you’re tired of hearing it, but it will!

God bless you!

Jess

OK I am joining the Stress Out club you have formed here…my wedding is soon…no date yet but we are still aiming for last week in August. Today we had a snag in our plans…we thought that after my fiance talked to the counsellor we would be able to set the date today, but God had other plans…the counsellor wants to see him 2 more times and wants me to go with him one of these times. My fiance was bummed but I reminded him that God’s plans are better than ours. Congrats to all the soon to be brides.

It sounds like my fiance and I have plenty of time left before we can join the “Club”. We have a little less than a year to go before we will be married. That should give us plenty of time to stock up on helpful advice such as the train issue mentioned earlier. Any helpful tips for us grooms-to-be?

congratulations 1ke!!!:clapping: :dancing: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: we’re praying for you and your future husband!!!

Relax, in a year you won’t even remember any of those details. Anyhow, your mother, sisters, bridesmaids and maid of honor are supposed to do all the worrying, you are supposed to stay calm and beautiful. When I think of all the planning and angst that went into planning my daughters wedding, the hours with the caterer, and on the day everything tasted like sawdust to me, what a waste. I should have heeded my own advice to DD and SIL: spend as much time planning your marriage as you do planning your wedding.

Congratulations!! 🙂 That is wonderful. I’m sure the wedding will go beautifully. Things will fall into place as they should. Good luck, I’ll pray for you (and you Amanda!! 🙂 )
