Hello, anyone here who knows the 48 Laws of Power of Robert Greene?

What can you say about it? Is it okay for us Catholics to read it?

Thanks!

Catholic may read anything for scholastic study or other important reason. It is a matter of prudent judgement to as whether a particular work might lead you unnecessarily towards sin.

I haven’t, read it, but I’ve watched some videos about it.

It’s a mixed bag.
Some are common sense advice that’s useful for anybody.
A couple suggestions were a bit Machiavellian, but I don’t remember exactly what was said.

So, like all secular self-help books, take the good advice and reject the bad.

If you want a really good study of power, of what it is and how it works, try Adolf Berle’s book Power, if you can find it. It was originally published in the 1960s.
