What will be considered a serious case of committing mortal sin against parents? Specifically when it comes to insults and anger.

Situation: I see my mother sitting down in a lazy way and then I get anxious and in my head, I say stuff like, “That’s disgusting” “Just look at her”. After such thoughts came into my head I was worried I might have committed mortal sin. I am not sure if it is mortal due to me not having sufficient knowledge beforehand or if my thoughts go to the level of serious/grave matter.

Please help!

And yes, I am a scruple who comes on the forums to see if I commit sin. I am working on it.

Then since you seem to know the issue, I would presume you would know the response. We are not confessors for the most part (there are a few priests who are members, but they will tell you the same thing) and an internet forum is not the place you need to have these things answered. It is your priest - pastor or other priest. Scrupulosity is a heavy burden. God bless, and seek the help you need from your priest, who needs also to know you suffer from this.

I know it seems harsh, but anyone answering your question is actually doing you a disservice. The best thing we can tell you is to seek out a priest experienced with dealing with scrupulousity and possibly a mental health professional.

Another person does not know your will and your reflection before you exercise your will so how could you be answered?

Hahaha Im laughing! Yea I have to calm down

Honestly, it sucks because everything thing I do I either make it big or think its mortal in one way or another. Tbh, I always tell myself not to check because I should whether I sin or not.

But, with this situation, only after such thoughts came to my head did I then start to freak out because I was like, “I must’ve committed a mortal sin”. I just did not know and I want to be sure.
Also, the thoughts came in and then I kind of dwelled on them, but then stopped due to me thinking I must have committed a grave sin.
