As explained in the Causal Principle, B had to inevitably obtain to A, given the constant state of A, as its ultimate, objective cause.
B can be thought of, in its relation to A, as a dynamic effect that can also be thought of as a pure relation of mind; so it can be called a pure, dynamic, mobile force of mind, in its relation to A.
It is not that is, a physical relation that is proposed by the Causal Principle, but it is a relation of mind–that can only be thought.
The series proposed in B’s movement to A, generates in its operation, a separate mass of divergent, more substantial forces X, and this mass of forces can be thought of as the mass of forces from which our material universe has been formed.
B, as a pure, undifferentiated force in relation to A, can be thought of as an Absolute force of Mind, in relation to A, and in relation to X.
This force can furthermore be understood as Absolute Mind, and Absolute Being in relation to X, which is the physical universe; and the intelligent design apparent in the universe, including our own beings, can be understood as the creations of this Absolute Being and Absolute Mind.
What can further be deduced from this argument is that there is a perfect balance between the equal but opposite forces of this Absolute Mind and the material universe. Also, the universe is undergoing an expansion (as attested to by cosmologists), but this expansion attests to the series explained here, and B’s obtaining to its final objective state, as Absolute Mind and Absolute Being.
The deduction that follows from this is that the universe will not continue to undergo expansion indefinitely. Rather, this expansion will inevitably stop, to the equal relation between this Absolute Mind and Being, and the physical universe, and all things will be brought to a state wherein this expansion has ceased.
If time is linked to this expansion, which is an implicit conclusion in this causal argument, then time will cease with the expansion of the universe, and all things will revert from a temporary state, to an permanent, eternal state.
This is a necessary conclusion that follows from this causal argument.
The other conclusion that is rationally justified given this argument is that the Absolute Mind and Being that has brought the universe to its present state is both omniscient and omnipotent; for as a pure, undifferentiated force of Absolute Mind, this Mind has the capacity to take hold of the material universe in its entirely, and manipulate and guide it according to its design. The creative capacity and power of this Absolute Mind is therefore all-encompassing, that is, it is not finite, but rather, it is infinite.
his Absolute Mind is also both transcendent, in that this Mind is the cause of both space and time, having generated space time and the mass from which our material universe has been formed, but this Mind exists outside of space and time and the material universe, but yet has the capacity to interact with all those entities within the universe that are conditioned by space and time.
The emergence of the universe to its present state, and the emergence of life on Earth therefore does not attest to some mindless, physical mechanism of change, but it attests to the existence and the creative work of this Absolute Mind, to which the whole fabric of the material universe, including our own conscious beings, are subject.
End of Argument … save for the following considerations:
The proof of this causal argument is not dependent on, nor does it appeal to big bang cosmology for empirical support, but it agrees with big bang cosmology, but it goes beyond what can be ascertained by cosmologists in that it necessitates that the universe began expanding from a singularity. The singularity can be understood as synonymous with the originating point for each stage of the series proposed by the principles of this argument.
Furthermore, there is an explanation of time that has been offered by this argument. This argument links time to the expansion of the universe. All things within the universe are subject to the effect of this expansion, and hence to the effect of time, in their movement from the past toward the future. The conclusion follows that we are therefore expanding away from the past, and as stated above, when this expansion stops, time will cease, and we will undergo no further change, but will revert from a temporary to a permanent, eternal state.
The theological considerations here are far-reaching, and I know of no other argument advanced that can make a similar prediction on the grounds of pure reason. While this argument is a product of pure reason, it can therefore help make sense of the world of our practical experience, and there is nothing in this argument that conflicts with, or disagrees with the most far=reaching findings of any empirical science. Rather, it agrees with these findings. Furthermore, it does not replace, but rather, it provides further grounds for one’s retaining one’s faith in the existence of such a Supreme Being who is both omniscient and omnipotent.
