20 years ago? This is going to be interesting. I can only hope he is viewed as innocent until proven guilty but probably not. The truth will come out in trial, hopefully.

Two of the women in question are his ex-girlfriends and have publicly been accusing him of rape for years. He allegedly has a pattern of drugging women and having sex while they are unconscious.

He is innocent until proven guilty, but if he’s found guilty, I hope they throw the book at him. Sick, sick, sick.

The fact that he is a “Scientologist” and what values do they hold will be addressed.

Wow. If this is true and these women have been saying this for years with no justice, then something is wrong with how this was originally investigated. What a mess.

As someone said, the Church of Scientology is involved. Masterson is a Scientologist and some of the women accusing him were also. At least one claimed that the Church of Scientology told her rape couldn’t occur if the two parties were in a relationship, then threatened and harassed her to keep quiet.

I understand that in addition to the two ex-girlfriends, there are two other “Jane Doe” women who just went on one or two dates with this guy and allege that he date raped them.

In your opinion, would the LA County DA allow an indictment (I’m assuming there was a grand jury involved) if they didn’t think they could prove their case?

Seems to me that they must be pretty confident in their ability to convict…

My guess/ opinion is that they might not have brought a case solely on the allegations of a potentially disgruntled ex-girlfriend, but now that they have four victims (and I’ve read there are more who didn’t want to testify) all telling the same stories, they have a case for a pattern of behavior.

Sounds a lot like the Bill Cosby case…
definite similarities, but older cases than those for which Cosby was actually tried.

I’m surprised that the Statue of Limitations hasn’t run; being over a decade for anything other than murder is unusual.

The DA must be pretty confident that they can get a conviction…

Actually, I find that surprising, too . . . he said/she said about things a couple of decades ago is just asking for trouble . . .

as for the Sofa, it seems that
799.

Mr. M had yet to have his day in court, but I think the Jury is in on Scientology.

Aside from praying for his soul, I don’t think anyone here is interested in what Ron Jeremy (a porn star) is doing. Catholics don’t watch that stuff.
