Does anyone know much about these and where to find more info on them? I have to give a talk on covetedness. I’m sure I have experience with it, but not sure I can speak to others about it. LOL
Just looking for some info and thought you all might have the links.😉

If you want to remember what they are, may I offer this limerick? It actually won a prize in a literary humour contest in Canada years ago.

I’m too old for pride, greed, and lust,
And gluttony’s for the robust.
Of envy, I tire;
I can live without ire.
But sloth is an absolute must!

Bad hermatology, but it got one thing right. It put pride, the worst of the worst, at the first of the list.

Dang it, because if I were to thing that I have any of the seven, pride is probably it. Oh well, tack it on to the list of things that need fixing…

Don’t feel alone. Pride is the “master” sin that leads to all others. It is the sin of putting one’s own will before God’s will. C.S. Lewis was on to something when he had Screwtape note that the devil would protect a man froma lesser sin IF it would foster pride.

The problem with pride is universal, and I know your problem is my problem, and suspect it’s also everyone else’s. But in the long run, grace is stronger.

One of the most disturbing movies I ever saw was “Seven” with Brad Pitt and Kevin Spacey and Morgan Freedman. It listed the 7 deadly sins in bloody detail.

It was kind of gross, disgusting and perverted. KS plays a psychopathic serial killer. … definitely not for folks with weak stomachs.
