Emer O’Shea knew something was wrong the minute she picked up her daughter from Franklin Elementary School. The third-grader was normally very perky upon seeing her mother and new baby sister, but this time she glanced at her mother without indicating what was wrong, except to say that the school’s social worker had visited the class. But Emer soon heard from another parent about what had happened in her daughter’s class that day, and she was both stunned and mortified. The next day her young daughter finally opened up with a question that would baffle most parents of an 8-year-old child, "Mommy, is it possible for a man to have an operation to become a woman?

Good grief! Why can’t these progressives? let children be children and enjoy it?
 
Not appropriate for ANY child to hear about sex change operations
 
Watching a Victor Borge special last night I recalled how shocking it was when Christine Jorgenson wnet to Denmark for the surgery in the early 50’s. Borge commented at the time by mentioning his female aunt. He noted that in Denmark one had to specify such things. :rolleyes:
 
If it was so important that the children know that one of their peer’s father was becoming a woman, why didn’t they just send a letter directly to the parents? If something as life altering as one of my children’s classmates parents changing sex did happen, **I (not my child!) **would like to know so I could in my own words explain (if needed be).It is like they don’t trust the parents at all.

Somehow I grew up without being told what my classmates parents did in their bedrooms:rolleyes:
Imagine the Gay Groups/transgender/PP if we introduced a book on Catholic (or even heterosexual Christian Marriage):hmmm: they be screaming their fool heads off:whistle:
 
And people are wondering why private and homeschooling are becoming the prefered eductational choice for many parents.

We need to somehow revive the Catholic schools that are free from the political correctness of today’s morally relativistic society. This includes the infiltration into the Church today
 
We homseschool our 5-year old son.

He will go to a public school over my dead body.
