A 1973 letter to one discouraged by the scandals in the Church, but applicable today!

remnantnewspaper.com/Archives/2009-0930-ousset-cross.htm This could be good for those who have fallen away due to scandals and those who might not join, thinking it a human institution and one that reinforces the lies said about it by whatever other church, synagogue, mosque (they wouldn’t care for Mohammedism being a heresy, though), etc. It basically says we’ve been through this since the beginning, we’ve overcome them then and we’re still here to overcome them, now, with no doctrinal changes, because it’s the Church Christ founded (well, it could have been an evolved Judaism, but they kicked us out).

I was aware of the author’s name…but never read this before. Thank you for sharing…I wish it would be required reading…a basis for the New Evangelization of our Pope Benedict XVI…for our catechesis and a reminder of the continual journey to Calvary…for the Church and each of us…to follow our Master.

Reminds me of the episode when Napoleon told the Pope’s Cardinal Emissary…tell the Pope that if he won’t do as I say…I will destroy the Church. The Cardinal was not impressed or shaken…and told Napoleon…we bishops and priests have been doing our best to destroy it for over 1800 years…we haven’t succeeded and neither will you!

I know that “The Remnant” is SSPX (Dedicated Decades, via ULRA, and The Rosary Album are two non polarizing publications by SSPX people and beautiful), but it’s the only site I could find posting it. I’m glad you all seem to like the page and why shouldn’t you?!
