A Call to Public Penance

IMPORTANT
Please everyone, talk to all you know, especially your Bishops and priests … a movement is starting to beg mercy and call down grace to strengthen and sanctify the clergy and faithful. With all the scandal for so long in the Church along with the progressives and liberals, we need to act quickly and storm heaven to mitigate what will surely befall us shortly from our complacency and arrogance.

Beginning with Bishops to lead by example and backed up by all clergy and faithful; we need to begin a movement of at least a quarter hour a week of PUBLIC PENANCE. 15 minutes of CONTRITE PROSTRATE PRAYER in front of the Blessed Sacrament. If we do not beg mercy and grace for strength, conversions and in reparation … our future will be our own doing.

Pray for your Bishops, priests and all clergy! May the Holy Spirit renew the initial objective: LEAD ALL SOULS TO HEAVEN.

Marywel, can you provide that graphic in a suitable size to print on the top half of a standard sheet of paper? I’d like to use that to make fliers to post at the local churches.

It actually should print pretty close to that the way it is … just looks smaller here … did you try it? I’ll email the file to you.

Marywel, I’ve taken some of what you wrote, edited it, and created a poster/flyer. I’ve got it in OpenOffice, Micro$oft Word, and PDF formats. I’ll email it to you, then I’ll figure out how and where to post it so anyone and everyone can get it.
 
The blogger, “The Anchoress” from firstthings.com, recently posted a similar idea. I think it is a great idea. But how to go from being a concept on a forum to being an actual event going on in parishes across the country? How does one start a grass roots movement like that?

Well … it’s begun … now, it’s up to “we the people” to coin a phrase to run with the ball. One person I know has made flyers and is distributing them in different parishes. Another gal I know is making a flyer and faxing it to Dioceses (SP?LOL) Talking to all we know, especially at Church, Pastors, Deacons, Religious … you know what they say, best advertising is word of mouth … but I believe the bottom line is THIS … if this is something GOD WANTS … it will BE! 😉
But meanwhile, we have to put forth a good effort and run the race! 🙂

Very nice 🙂 … I dropped a few lines here and there … EWTN said:

I also dropped a line on Fr. Corapi’s you tube page, among other emails and stuff … we’ll see what happens. But … we’ve begun! That’s for sure! 🙂

Eucharistic adoration at the Vatican in reparation for abuse

The Vatican is hosting two hours of eucharistic adoration “in reparation for abuses committed by priests and for the healing of this wound within the church.” … The unusual initiative was organized by Catholic university students in Rome. Sources said the event was originally planned for the small Church of St. Anne inside Vatican City, but that it was moved to St. Peter’s at the suggestion of Cardinal Angelo Comastri, who is archpriest of the basilica.

The movement grows!
