Merry Christmas ladies and gentlemen, and hopefully you all are enjoying the holidays with company. I was driving around my city last night on Christmas Eve and was reminded how lucky and privilege I am. To be honest, I almost fell to my knees in utter embarrassment with myself over this…almost disgusted. Has it really come to this?

Anyway, it motivated me to create this. This list addresses my embarrassment towards the ‘Has it really come to this.’

I am John
I am a follower of Jesus Christ, Whether He existed or not
While also being a follower of the ever so wise Dalai Lama.
I am a follower of both of their Messages
I find that part of this True Happiness is
Being with our life partner.
It is the goal of all Life in general
To reproduce.
Whole, this True Happiness takes dedication
It is not something handed over for free
Just as we brush our teeth daily to prevent cavities
We must act righteous daily to prevent evil.
Dedication means dedication
We are all equal
And should be treated so
We are always learning
So learn
If someone is more wiser
Ask questions
Get answers
Learn and understand.
And remember to say thanks
For the more you learn
The wiser you yourself become
Suffering that can be prevented
Is not suffering
It is the result of greed
And greed can cause man to go insane
If mankind was stripped from urban society
We would all understand the Message
Earth is a living organism
Life benefits from this ball of rock
It is our mother
She is part of our physical make up
Without her, there would be no I.
Greed, my friends, will cause us to betray our Mother
All she did was simply exist
She can not nurture us forever.

Happy holidays :christmastree1: (finally got to use a season smile haha)

It’s good to know you’re a follower of Jesus - in spite of your inconsequential doubt! If you think He didn’t exist you have to account for His teaching, let alone His subsequent impact on humanity… In the meantime you’re in our prayers for a very happy Christmas and New Year. 🙂

Hi, lemondiesel! I don’t hang around the Philosophy forum very often, but I just came across your thread and I just felt called to encourage you on your path of searching with an open heart! Also I wanted to share one of my favorite blessings with you (even though I am not Irish and we have never met face to face)…

An Irish blessing:

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Have a merry Christmas!
