I am a new Catholic girl who come from China.
I found this place two days ago and keep watching other’s Q&A , they did solve some of my doubt.
But I think there’s a special question I need to ask for your suggestions.
As you can see, in China we have two kinds of Catholic Church. The above one and the underground one. Underground church also sometimes referred to as “Vatican loyalists” because they have attempted to remain loyal to the Pope and the Holy See. Underground churches in China are considered illegal, although smaller groups of fewer than 5 members are sometimes tolerated by the government.
It is not unusual that Chinese Catholics attending underground churches get arrested, detained without trial, even tortured.

And otherwise, Chinese Patriotic Catholic Association also exists in China. It is the only organizational body of Catholics in China officially recognized by the government of the People’s Republic of China, but is not recognized by the Vatican .

At the first time I stepped into the Catholic Church which nears my house, I didn’t think of what’s the difference between CPCA and the underground Church. But as time goes by, I found that it belongs to CPCA.

So I felt so confused and annoyed . I wonder if I should leave this church as soon as possible or just stay here? (I didn’t found it has any difference with other underground so far though)

Forgive my poor English ability… Hope I did conveyed my feelings well.

Please pray for all the Chinese Catholic, they are still facing the darkest time .

Thank you so much.
I understand your concerns. But I do need some suggestions for the right choice. I will take care of myself and try my best to hide from dangers.
God bless you.

Is Catholic forums available in mainland China? I assumed it was fire walled. I think the Catholic Churches in Macau and Hong Kong are not under CPCC. I’m no expert but you may be in a extraordinary circumstance so don’t worry. If you really are worried, then participate mass in the special regions. Nevertheless, I will pray for you.

There’s still some arguments around it…
Religion is still controlled, churches are being demolished.

Unfortunately, I don’t have the conditions to go to these special areas to participate in Mass. Our government is still controlling the religious activities here.
Thank you so much. May God bless you too.

I’m sorry I don’t have an answer for you tkmr21, but I will definitely pray for you and the others. God bless you and keep you safe.

Blessed Mother, please intercede for us.
Hold the sorrowful-
Mother and love the weary, abused, neglected,
broken or forgotten among us-
Give your aid to all needing help or healing-
Assist those who are sick, in pain or suffering-
Be with those needing peace-
Console the lonely or brokenhearted-
Comfort the lost, hopeless or fearful-
Guard the unborn-
Pray for those who are dying or who have died-
Touch those who do not yet see truth or have hardened hearts-
Help us be brave enough to let our hurt and anger go-
Show us the way to do the right thing-
Protect those who are in danger, and
Guide us from every evil.
May all who keep your sacred commemoration
experience the might of your assistance.
Amen
