Dear CAF members,

I have not been around long, but in the time I’ve spent here, I’ve found inspiration, guidance, prayer, and information. Thank you all.

While not yet in full communion with the Church, I’m nearly done with RCIA and, God willing, will be baptized and confirmed at Easter.

I have felt a compulsion to tell my conversion story from “doubter” to “devouter.” I’d like to share it here. If you’d like to comment, feel free to do so here or at the end of the blog.

There are people who have led harder lives than I have, but I did not know God, and that’s a pretty bad state to be in. All the glory goes to Him and only with Him working in me could I talk about my personal path home.

Enjoyed your story. Could you pray for my unbaptized police officer husband? It is my dream that he join that Catholic Church. He does attend Mass most Sundays with me and our children. He is an officer just a couple hours North of your location.

God Bless!

Great story. Thanks for sharing.

I love how you asked yourself if Jesus left an authoritative Church here or didn’t he. You got this one right.

Great story thank you.

All the good you do as an officer came back to you.

I like to say a prayer to St Michael before I start my shift. I think this keeps me out off a lot of trouble.

Now I understand your user name…B-Safe Sgt

Thank you for the feedback you guys. All the glory goes to God, but it feels good to lift Him up and give him praise through a personal story.

dkoinzan, I prayed for your husband last night!

Thank you for sharing your story. Your straightforward and candid style was very refreshing and I enjoyed reading it very much. I look forward to reading more on your blog!

Thank you for all the feedback on the story, I very much appreciate it!

Jeff, I just finished reading your account of your conversion. God be praised for His working in your life - another brother is coming home. 🙂

Thanks for sharing your story. It is so wonderful to know that there are others everywhere on the same path that I am on.

Wow, this is wonderful. God Bless.

Jeff my brother,

You have given a very effective witness as to what the Lord is doing in and through you. I rejoice with you, and am praying for you, as you continue making your journey into full communion into the Catholic Church. You are obviously cooperating with God’s graces and I sincerely pray Jesus will continue using you to minister to others. May many more be inspired by your sharing of what Jesus has done and is doing in your life.

In Jesus and Mary,
+John

Thank you for sharing your story!

Of course, any one from Omaha is on my A+ list, you know. You’re talking to a south Omaha girl herself!🙂
