Aug 8th. 2 days ago, a man was stabbed to death at Hepingli North Street Chaoyang District. Residents said they have heard multiple cries of “help” that night.

Yesterday 11am, a police car was parked at the southern entrance of
No.13 building of the 14th area of Hepingli North Street. a 2m trail of blood under the sign post was now larged covered by sand.
When Mrs Lu who was living on the 2nd floor of No13 building acknowledged someone had been killed. her jaws dropped. after a while she said “should have dialled 110” (equivalent to 911 in the US) she said at 11:30am the previous day, she still hadn’t gone to bed yet. then someone screamed “help!” from outside. she poked her head out of the window but failed to see anything. it seemed the sound came from the east. then it was silence. “I heart 3 ‘Help!’ all very short.” she said, after a 1min there were another 3 shouts for help. Then there was a low and vicious voice speaking “Shut up or I’ll kill you” (Literal translation: “What are you shouting for? I’ll kill you”) after a few minutes she saw 2 males, one tall one short, took a taxi near the No.171 high school and left
Then there were a few passers-by. one asked “What’s going on” someone else replied “seems like a robbery”. The whole street returned to silence. Mrs Lu felt nothing serious was going on and went to sleep.

Mrs Lu said at 1am, she was woken up and found there were more cars than usual. and there were many people talking about something, she felt something was wrong but she said she didn’t believe it was a murder.
A little girl living in the No.13 building said she was woken up in the early morning, some police were trying to interview the residents. she heard from police that a man was stabbed to death. there were wounds in the chest and back. Last evening, police said it was still under investigation and no more information was available.
