A Eucharist miracle possibly happened

Yes, this is very disturbing to me. The fact that Bishop Malone and his auxiliary ordered the priest to destroy the host rather than doing it themselves seems cruel. They refused to even look at pictures, not just examine or investigate. It was very upsetting to the priest, but he obeyed. If the bishops were so positive that it was not a miracle, they should have destroyed it themselves. Or at a minimum looked at the photographs presented to them.

The lady being interviewed spoke of it as “a eucharistic miracle” .

She should have been told that she is not qualified to say such a thing .

I see this as sensational reporting .

I agree. They should have conducted an investigation to conclusively determine whether or not a miracle had occurred. This disturbs me.

We shouldn’t presume to know the extent of the Bishops’ knowledge or lack thereof. I’m not saying Bishops don’t make mistakes, but we shouldn’t default to assuming this was a valid Eucharistic miracle.

True, but if we’re talking the Real Presence, I’d argue that more reverence and caution is due. I mean no disrespect, but I’d argue they brought any criticism on themselves by not clarifying why it was or was not a miracle.
