A few days ago, I witnessed a motorcycle accident. Everyone turned out ok, but it has stayed w me.

I was omw to work and I thought I’d grab coffee from a coffee shop nearby omw in. I passed a Planned Parenthood and there was this street preacher outside. There was maybe 6 individuals, myself included, waiting at the corner (literally right next to the street preacher) for the light to change. As we crossed the street, I nodded a "have a good day/friendly gesture to the street preacher and he did the same. After crossing the street, I glanced back and witnessed a motorcycle accident. The motorcyclists skidded across the road and when they came to a halt, I went over to them to make sure they were ok. I went on in to work but this experience stayed w me. It’s odd. I dunno I just wanted to share. What an eerie connection between the motorcycle accident and the street preacher making eye contact and nodding a friendly ‘have a good day’ right before.

I’m not sure how there’s a connection at all, aside from these events happening close in space and time. It’s best not to dwell on it, at the risk of being superstitious.

I am glad the motorcyclist was okay. Most times it does not end well for the motorcyclist.

There is a connection…you.
You remember the eye contact so vividly because of the close proximity to the event that had such an impact on you.
There is no hidden meaning.

@bclustr9, that’s the extent of it. I think it’s a trick of the mind to attach the events just prior to a troubling experience. It probably has to do with the way the brain processes short-term memories.

As @Amberlea wrote, offer it up and pray… for understanding and peace, and in thanksgiving for the well being of the motorcycle riders. I’m praying too.
