My wife and I have a young friend who is a leader in his youth group. He has helped the pro life ministry with which my wife and I do extensive work. He pleasantly surprised us this week when he told us that he is discerning a vocation to the priesthood. We regularly pray for him and for God to nurture this vocation. He is from a Cuban family and speaks both English and Spanish fluently. He is very respectful and conservative, :dancing: while having a fine outgoing personality. I would like to know if there is anyone out there who can help me out with some information concerning options. I don’t want to see this guy get turned off to the priesthood because of a seminary with horrible theology. :tsktsk: This would only end with him questioning his whole faith. I remember going to a terrible RCIA back in 1997 in Los Angeles which made me question my nascent commitment to the Church and delayed my entrance into the Sacraments of Christ for 6 years. :banghead: (Mahoney’s Minions) What options does this young man have? Especially important would be any information specific to Florida or Central Florida - Orlando Diocese.
