A hypothetical situation

I was thinking about if my parents and siblings ever come into the church and it occurred to me that my sister could have problems.

Her partner and her have bought a house together an she is pregnant with their first child. I expect they will get married somewhere further down the line. Her partner was previously married.

To enter the church her partner would have to receive an annulment of his first marriage before marrying again.

If he has already remarried (my sister), can he still apply for an annulement? Or does it have to happen before entering his 2nd marriage.

There’s no time limit on applying for a declaration of nullity.

Assuming your sister and her partner marry and then either of them wants to become Catholic, they would need to resolve the marriage situation before they could come into the Church.
