A mother needs your prayers! Help stop an abortion

Please pray for my friend who has an unborn baby who will not likely live outside the womb very long. The baby is full of amniotic fluid, missing organs, yet still has a heart beat. The doctors seem to be pushing abortion on her due to the pregnancy complications. I don’t know much more than that. Please pray for a miracle for this mother and baby. Also, does anyone know of a pro-life high risk pregancy doctor in the Chicago area or a medical association that is on the internet? I would like to pass the information on to my friend, because the doctors she has seen are non-catholic and I don’t think she is getting the whole picture.
 
…an unfortunate caption for your thread…it sounds more like you need prayers for an unborn baby that is slowly dying in its mother’s womb.

This happened to my sister, but she miscarried. It actually was good, she has a long histroy of bad decisions and emotional dependancy, and doing whatever people asked her to, but we at least were sucessful in making it absolutly impossible for her to even fathom aborting her child.

My prayers are with this woman and her child.

This baby very well would die on its own, but the doctors are suggesting abortion to speed up the process. They are gonna do it today or tomorrow. As you may know, direct killing of an innocent life for any reason is never permissible. There is not much time so this baby and mother desparately need prayers. I am sorry you misunderstood my thread, but I wish you would have asked questions before you made your statement (unless I am misunderstanding your statement.) If I am, forgive me, but I am just trying to help someone out.

Nor is it justifiable to endanger the life of the mother for the sake of a child who has no hope of survival. There well could be complications which threaten the mother’s health and I am trying to assume the best of her health care providers. In any event she will be in my prayers during what must be a devastating time.
 
was there ever a moral ruling on inducing pregancy after the time of viability with the intent of taking care of the child as long as it survives? I heared once that that was OK, but it seems VERY fishy to me.
 
do you mean inducing labor/delivery? I don’t know if the OP indicated how far along in the preganancy his friend was…

According to the teaching of the Church we are not allowed to do anything to directly kill the unborn baby:nope: Never,ever:nope:

What about in the case of an ectopic pregnancy? Does not the act of saving the mothers life (in turn killing the embryo) contradict that?

To remove the tube is a direct action for the life of the mom the result of that kills the baby,I heard Father Mitch Pacwa speak on this,the is not a direct action to kill the abortion that is spoken about on the thread is a direct killing of the baby not a secondary result.
