At Mass (Novus Ordo) this morning, in the prayers of the faithful, we prayed for those about to receive the ‘sacrament of initiation’.
That’s just another word for Baptism, right? (And why not just say Baptism?:()
(But we apparently may not have an alter either. It’s become a ‘table’.
Okay, I’ll stop with my pet peeves.)
Is it correct to refer to a ‘sacrament’ of ‘initiation’??

It should be the sacraments of initiation. They include baptism, confirmation, and communion. You were praying for all those who are in RCIA and will become fully initiated Catholics at the Easter Vigil. 😃

Ah. I see. There’s no ‘sacrament of initiation’ but ‘Sacraments of initiation’ is what was either meant or actually said.
Thanks for clearing that up. 😉
