Yes it can! I’ve been part of a men’s schola doing just that for the past 15 years. We rotate around different parishes in the archdiocese. It’s been a tremendous experience!
 
In all honesty, if my parish changed to Gregorian chant as the parish in the link did, I would have to leave and find a new parish to attend. I really do not like Gregorian chant at all and I would not be able to participate in a mass there. Choosing to attend a Gregorian chant mass is fine. Being forced into it as the only option for a parish? No.
 
For parishes which have only one Mass, that might be the result for some; but it is more likely that it would be at one Mass, not at all.
