I don’t blame you for missing that since I have Asperger’s and that happens with me sometimes too. But actually I was referring to a person on Facebook. I don’t think having a Facebook account gives you intimate knowledge of the Bible. By the way in reference to this post I had an ex-girlfriend who is very anti-catholic well technically she still an ex girlfriend but you know what I mean and she would post Bible quotes and sometimes she would say things that Pope Francis supposedly said that he never did and I would call her out on it and she would never defend her position just attack mine.

I concur with you… having knowledge of something doesn’t make anyone wise, particularly when it comes to Sacred Writings.
It’s been my experience that when people reject something (as when they are anti-Catholic) they are quick to bring all sorts of attacks using all sorts of ammunition–even if they have to alter or create claims and quotations… and, as your ex-, they are quick on the draw and faster on running away from any exchange–specially when they are wrong or not standing on firm grounds.
The best we can do on these occasions is pray for ourselves (patience and love) and pray for them (peace and guidance of the Holy Spirit).

I’m not sure if you are talking about my error in spelling or if you are talking about the fact that it was on Facebook. Anyway, I know that what the person said was wrong. I came here with the intention of finding an answer to their argument so I could refute their argument. Unfortunately I lost track of the thread on Facebook and was unable to answer them after this.

Thank you RPRPsych! If you’re interested in my pages, feel free to send me a private message and I will send you a link to them. I have two pages that get the most traffic and one of them is dedicated to Catholic apologetics while the other one is for positive and uplifting posts. I also have other pages but they don’t have anywhere near the amount of traffic or likes as the first two. I’m really not even sure how they became so popular. I never paid Facebook to boost them or anything.Good for you!
(But on a more serious note, there are certainly a lot of “way out there” pages and users on facebook. I once had an entertaining conversation with a gentleman who believed that beating up women was part of “national security”. When he realized he couldn’t convert me to his view, he resorted to invective and stormed away.)
