A priest (I can’t see his face, so I don’t know who he is) of my Diocese after a game of paintball at Catholic Youth Summer Camp (cysc.com)

It’s an amazing place, and I’ll be attending my final session (as a camper, at least) next week

“Bless me, Father, for I have sinned.”

“For penance I want you to go to Joe’ s Battleground and feel the wrath of Big Betty.”
“Wait what?”

He will shoot the sin out of you.

Breaking News: Vatican technicians unveil a prototype for the newest spiritual weapon.

Onward Christian soldiers, going as to war…

Paintball gun? Check.
Sign of the crosshairs?

I came here to preach the Gospel and shoot people. And I’ve already preached the Gospel…

And last but not least

i think some priests can suffer (temporailly) from loneliness

but most dioscean priests have acquired coping skills to deal with this;

mostly because they can become so very busy dealing with the needs of the parish flock

Well, ideally, they wouldn’t be living all alone in a rectory. They’d have 2 or 3 other priests to live with.

Diocesan priests, like any other religious, and like all Catholics, live best and thrive in community.

Check out their website- the whole premise is high adventure activities (zip lining, jet skiing, high ropes, paintballing, etc) and high adventure faith (praise and worship in front of the Blessed Sacrament, Marian devotion, daily Mass, etc.)

They want to expand, eventually.

Life Teen and Camp Woytija in Colorado run similar camps around the US

One of my good friends is a retired military chaplain.

He was used for target practice by enemy snipers.

Just had his legs amputated.

Received a portable altar that his wheelchair will fit under.

Once he gets his prostheses, then he will return to work.

Military chaplains are some of the most bada** people you will ever meet…

The course that priest is standing on was designed by a to-be military chaplain for the Marines, who passed basic with flying colors, is a black belt in jui jitsu, and just an amazing priest of God.

Our founding pastor at my childhood church was a WWII chaplain with paratroopers . . . and dropped with them!

hawk

i wonder what zachary king would think of the priest doing the devil horns
