I know that the Extraordinary Form (EF) of Mass is normally celebrated, i.e. rather than concelebrated. I think prior to Vatican II concelebration was not permitted. What I would like to know is if the EF Mass can ever be concelebrated. One example of where I guess it may be permissible is the Maundy Thursday Chrism Mass. Is concelebration ever allowed nowadays for the EF Mass? Before Vatican II and the liturgical reforms was Mass ever concelebrated?
