I’m sorry if I posted this in the wrong section but I got to thinking about time and eternity since my father passed away 3 months ago, and my mother passed away 8 years ago.
If they both arrived in that changeless moment called eternity where there is no passage of time wouldn’t they have experienced all of humanity arriving simultaneously with them since there are no future moments in which other people can arrive? From the moment of my mothers arrival there would be 8 years passing on earth until my father arrived, but from her perspective no moments passed until my father arrived so she should have experienced his arrival simultaneously with hers. If that were the case wouldn’t they also have experienced my arrival as well, and would be speaking to me as I type this?
Now my father had visitations within the last week of his life from his mother, and a grand daughter who were both passed away so I have no idea how they would have theoretically experienced their participation in that event as it corresponded to a specific moment in time from no moments in time unless all events in heaven occur simultaneously so as to not violate the timelessness of eternity.
I just got to missing my Pops, and this is where my mind went so I googled around a little, and found no discussions about it so here I am to have the holes in my logic plugged.
