Hi. MM used to be my favourite Tv series but I find the present season lacking. The episodes are not that interesting and are full of “modern” themes - zombies, monsters, positive portrayal of homosexuality and acceptance of loose morality,… I can’t put a finger on it but everytime I watch a new eposide I end up with an uneasy feeling (for a lack of a better expression).
What about you?

I’m a fan of the “Artful Detective” myself. Personally, I love the way they weave real historical figures (Tesla, Conan Doyle, Houdini) into the plots. I’d like to see them showcase his Catholicism a bit more, and the role it plays in his detective work, since that is what sets him apart from the rest of the characters.

Yes, I like the references to real historical personages and events. I really enjoyed the series because the good was still called good and the bad bad but lately it seems that they are changing the “faithful” detective into a “doubting” one, questioning the rightness of his religious beliefs against the ‘progressive, scientific’ modern views (e.g. homosexuality is inborn therefore it’s ok). I was just wondering if anybody else has that kind of feeling about the series as the ‘modern’ influences are subtle.
