Personally, I really wouldn’t try to tamper with those relics. I have one relic of St. Padre Pio, and another one of a Crucifix with a couple of stones from I think one of the places where Jesus walked. Those things are beyond value. It really wouldn’t seem honorable to cut, or removing anything. Let them be.I have a relic of Saint Philomena and a relic of Ven. Michael J. McGivney and was thinking of cutting the St. Philomena relic in two, the removing the Ven. McGivney one and putting the one of the Saint Philomena relics in it. Would this be bad or unacceptable?

You remind me of my convert husband. One day I found him trying to pry a first class relic apart. I flipped out!I have a relic of Saint Philomena and a relic of Ven. Michael J.
