. . . but going to Adoration via a webcam is just as good and beneficial as being right there with Jesus in your own parish, right?

I ask because I clicked on the webcam in a CAF member’s sig, and their parish (in Kentucky, I think) has 24-hour Perpetual Adoration that’s also broadcast via webcam.

I think it’s really great, especially since my parish only has Adoration once weekly, and only during the day. So again, adoring the Blessed Sacrament via webcam is the same thing, yes?

Hello Twosweetgirl! The very best is if one is able to be physically present in a Church or Chapel that has Adoration. But if one is unable to attend for some reason, then The Lord certainly understands this and the live webcam is the next best means. My own parish does not even have weekly Mass (dire shortage of priests here in Australia) let alone Adoration…so the webcam is my next best move. I am still present to the Blessed Sacrament and The Blessed Sacrament to me… and live in real time and across many waters and a vast span of distance… thanks to God’s Gift of technology.

Blessings…Barb:)

I don’t think it’s detrimental in any way, but I wouldn’t say it’s the same thing. I mean, if I had the choice of being with, say, my husband face-to-face, or through a webcam, I’d definitely prefer the former.

However, if the choice was no visitation, or visitation through the wonders of technology, I’d pick door no. two!
