A scrupulous copyright question

Those of you who read my previous post probably know that I don’t have a very good understanding of copyright laws. But I am very worried about doing something wrong so I’d rather make sure!

I bought my fiance a Valentine’s day gift, but I want to make some personalized adjustments to it, which might include changing the company’s name as written etc.

Is this in any way wrong?

The physical card is yours. You can do anything you want to it, except copy it and distribute the copies.
