A shocker

I just found out that a fellow I knew in college was arrested for having sexual contact with a student at the Catholic school where he taught. She was of the age of consent, but state law forbids relations between teachers and students regardless of age.

I haven’t seen or spoken with him in probably over 10 years, and we were never close friends (in fact, he probably doesn’t remember me), but I’m sure he needs prayers. Please pray for him and the girl involved.

Also, I have a question: since this is reported in the news and online, would it be wrong to inform other people who knew him?

I don’t think it would be a good idea. After all people are innocent until proven guilty.I think we must be careful in this sort of situation. Let us avoid being the ones to spread gossip:) The Press and T.V are already excellent in that domain!!! They will shatter his reputation and his career. And if after all it isn’t true? And what if the girl has her part to play for the blame?I think it would be preferable to remain silent, but by all means pray for them both.🙂
