So, instead of the universe beginning all at once, when God created the Big Bang, He didn’t create the universe all at once but in a step or steps, creating the “dot” and/or whatever else first and then created the Big Bang?

And is believing this compatible with our faith?

Let me ask this another way…
  1. Could God have created the universe not all at once with the Big Bang, but in a step or steps?
  2. Are we allowed to believe that there may have even been something else BEFORE the “dot” that God also created that led to creating the dot, which led to creating the Big Bang–but before all these steps there was nothing?
