Hello everyone, it’s been a little while since I’ve written. I’ve done some reflection on who I am, and seeing the many many threads on transgender issues, I wanted to say a few things. It upsets me very much to see what many people have to say about people like me. It hurts to be called “mentally ill” and an “abomination.” I am not an abomination.

-I am transgender (female to male, or FTM)
-I am not mentally ill or deluded. My reason functions well enough, thank you.
-I experience gender dysphoria
-I am, and will always be, a Roman Catholic
-I will take hormones and have (top) surgery someday
-I believe that God made me like this for a certain reason known to Him alone, and that it is not problematic for me to transition
-My pronouns are he/they, please respect them

This forum will shut down shortly 8 days are left. Catholics cannot condone you mutilating yourself. I cannot respect that which is sinful. When you are dead and your body decays scientist will identify you as what you are female. You can’t change it. You will always be Catholic because you can’t undo your baptism. The Church condemns what you say you are going to do. It is morally wrong. Don’t blame God. He gives us all trials and hardships in order for us to come to Him .

Your pronouns are artificial. You need to respect others and not try to force them into your wrong belief system

I agree you are not an abomination. You are a child of God. He wants you to go to Him.

The forums are going to be shutdown so I don’t understand why you would do this instead of just leaving this place behind.

Reading the past things that people have said about transgender people hurt, and I didn’t want the forum to be shut down without letting my (a trans person) voice be heard

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Respectfully, may I ask how my transition plans are sinful? I am not blaming God for anything, by the way.

I apologize if I was a bit unclear; my intention was to leave one last word behind, an analogy would be throwing a twig onto an already burning campfire. This statement was for personal satisfaction more than anything else. I am more than happy to leave these forums behind.
