Over the whole past year, I went through a huge faith journey.
I went from being a cradle Catholic to doubting God’s existence.
Then I was introduced to apologetics, but mostly by protestants so I didn’t understand some of the things taught.
After a while, I got introduced to Bishop Robert Barron and in turn to Catholic Answers. This gave my faith a lot of strength and I started going daily to mass and praying often. But after a while doubts came back, mostly because a lot of my friends are atheists, and because youtube loves to recommend me atheist videos. I thought about it, but I always had certain problems. So I finally joined the forums and while there were a couple of moments here that I didn’t like, 90 % of the time though, everyone was kind and they weren’t using insults. There are still some doubts I have regarding some of the Thomas Aquinas philosophy, specifically why do we assume that things have natures and other things, but I regained my faith life strongly.
For a while I wanted to become a theology teacher because of CA , but chose not to since I still don’t think my faith is good enough for that big of a decision. I am decent at programming so hopefully I can offer to our Lord with my talents. I thank everyone on this forum for answering my somewhat annoying questions. A perfect birthday gift 🙂

Happy Birthday 🎂 and may the Lord continue to bless you and call you closer and closer to his heart!!!

I tend to avoid those videos, they’re shallow, and they rehash lame arguments, that I’ve answered multiple times. I think there’s a lot of things about atheism that are just bad, it’s not very philosophical. And I’m not insulting all atheists, that’s not what I mean. It just seems quite illogical to me to believe that everything could just randomly Assemble. Oh, and people without Science degrees telling me about how science can prove this or that. True, I don’t have one, but I know someone who does, my mother. My Deacon also happens to be a physicist. He has several college degrees. Anyway, I hope I’ve helped more than I’ve hurt, and happy birthday.
