New Zealand calls it rugby, except in the phrase ‘rugger bugger’, the second word of which does not have the connotations it has in English elsewhere. It means an obsessed fan.

Can’t follow a sport I have no opportunity to see. I watch Australian rules football sometimes…at 3 am…on ESPN.
