I think that Utah needs an orthodox/evangelical order. EWTN’s and Mother Angelica’s order recently expnaded to Phoenix. I think a better witness would have been going to SLC and establishing an active/contemplative monastery. You need to pursue that. Mabe get into contact with Clear Creek monastery or the few others, like the Dominican Sisters of Nashville, and look into the possibility of establishing new branches of dynamic orthodox orders in Utah.

Beyond that do missions. Look into FUS hosting one of its many summer conferences in your arera. Or having Scott Hahn, Alex Jones, Tim Staples, Marcus Grodi or others host a mission weekend in your area.

Work with Catholics Come Home to get their "Epic " ad on your local TV.

Do you have Catholic radio? IMH radio just came to the 8 - 9 million market of the Bay Area. Very expensive. They are in California, Nevada, Arizona and NM. Utrah would seem a logical next step. Contact them - Doug Sherman to be specific.

I will look into this. Thanks

The biggest problem we face here in Northern Utah is getting Catholics involved, getting them excited. We seem to have stumbling blocks within our own walls. This has become a priority within our Ministry. We get this right everything else will fall into place. The evangelization ministry here are the same who teach the RCIA, and give Church tours once a month. Let me give you an idea as to a bit of the problem here. We just had 40 LDS from a youth group take a tour of our Church. The questions they asked were amazing and they went away with a different attitude towards our faith. The local newspaper did a large story on it and it turned out really good. But no Catholics attended accept 3 who gave this tour, the interest was very low, it has been low in many other areas of evangelization. As an ex Mormon I am saddened but at the same time I have so much hope and I see a very bright light ahead. . What we have been doing has been working, we see the conversion process. We just need to help other Catholics see the value. As an ex Mormon I have been stunned at the lack of interest in say a Radio spots that airs in order to invite souls to observe the miracle of the Mass. But all is well at the foot of the Cross. I will never give up, nor will those who are excited about sharing Jesus. If you can help please do. I would keep you informed of all that we do. Here is pne of the new pages at our Mission as to the tours and a letter from the LDS youth group to us.
