Has anyone ever been to something like this ? The bulletin says it’s a catholic version of a haunted trail
I emailed the parish about this but I didn’t receive an answer

The item in the bulletin seems pretty clear. Cemetery Walk is in quotation marks, so it probably is not in a real cemetery. My guess is that it is indoors. Members of the Youth Group, possibly in costume, portray saints. That sounds like the Eminent Person portrayals that the students do at an elementary school in my town. They promise to teach a little bit about the Catholic faith. Sounds good.

My only concern so far is the name of the event. It’s a bit scary or sensational, and also the saints are living, not dead.

I do not understand what your concerns are OP. It appears that your parish is trying to do something educational and still fun. People will be dressed as saints, and most likely the walk will take you past their “graves” and they will tell something about their life.

Please try not to find fault or pick apart every aspect of it. Why not go and find out what it’s all about.

@Lane, what are your thoughts now about the A Walk With The Dead event at your parish?

ANNOUNCEMENT**
I do NOT belong to this parish
I do NOT know anyone at this parish
I HAVE ALREADY emailed the parish where this event will take place
I made this thread to see if any of you have been to one of these or something similar and see what this event might entail

I have never seen or been to this kind of event. However, based on the bulletin, it looks pretty self explanatory.

Maybe it would work better if you call Janet at the number provided in the bulletin.

… And after that, maybe you’d like to take a moment to come back here and tell us what Janet said?

Sounds like a creative and engaging youth event. I don’t see an issue with it.
