I am very close to converting to Catholicism after a half century of being a cradle Protestant. My frightful worry is that by doing so, I will be faced with accepting the belief that my unbaptized loved ones and all the aborted children in the world will not be in Heaven, but instead they will be in Limbo or hell. ** When I convert will I have to face the realization that I will not see my non-Catholic loved ones in Heaven??** I reject the horrifying statement by some people who say, “Why go to Heaven if my loved ones won’t be there,” but it does make me terribly sad to think my loved ones, and me, if I don’t convert immediately, will not be united forever in Heaven. However, if I remain a Protestant (Methodist), I can rest assured my saved loved ones will be united in Heaven, with me, as a saved believer. Please help me understand what I am facing.
