Abortion Advocates Destroy Pro-Life Ads on San Francisco BART System

**San Francisco, CA (LifeNews.com) – **Abortion advocates are trashing and destroying pro-life ads that question Roe v. Wade that appear on hundreds of BART public transportation system trains in San Francisco. The news comes just days after pro-abortion groups threatened to shut down a Walk for Life planned later this month.

The ads, created by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and sponsored by Catholic Diocese of Oakland, criticize the Roe v. Wade decision and ask, “Abortion: Have we gone too far?”

I wonder if they will be arrested for destruction of proprty. Probabaly not. Laws seem not to apply to them.

At least the pro-abortion people are getting negative attention, I guess, and the pro-life ads, while being defaced locally, are getting to be known across the country now!

“We felt that under the First Amendment free speech protections that we did not have the right to, based on content, refuse the ad,” BART spokesman Jim Allison responded.

Allison told the Alemeda Times Star, “We certainly weren’t taking a particular view one way or another on what’s a very divisive issue. But we didn’t feel it was our place to say whether it should go up or not if someone was willing to pay to buy the ads.” SOURCE

Good for BART…looks like if you can afford to buy the ads BART will post them.

In regards to them (protestors) being prosecuted …I think it has much to do about how good of an attorney you can hire…the Law applies to all…but those that can afford good lawyers stand a better chance of beating the charges!!!
 
I wonder how far away from pro-life centers being bombed we are. I doubt anyone secular feels this defacement is wrong given the rabid attitudes against life they have.

The Respect Life Ministry of the Oakland Diocese is waging a PR campaign in BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) trains promoting a pro-life message. One of the ads, “9 MONTHS,” calls attention to the amount of time the Supreme Court allows abortions to take place. The other ad reads, “The Supreme Court says you can choose: after the heart starts beating, after its arms and legs appear, after all organs are present, after the sex is apparent, after it sucks its thumb, after it responds to sounds, after it could survive outside the womb.” The ads end by asking “Have We Gone Too Far?”

Violence from the Culture of Perversion has been increasing both in actions and words. Just look at the last election. Dozens of Republican Offices were attacked and there are people on trial for tire slashings in Milwaukee. I have a feeling that it will only increase and the police will not do anything to stop it (but they will stop us if we defend ourselves).

This is what scares me. I read the article with such disgust for the pro-abortionists that want to tear apart these ads yet demand their own time.

IE: "Some backers of abortion rights think BART should have rejected the ads, while others say BART should have warned pro-choice groups that the ads were about to appear and offered them a chance to run their own ad campaign.

"At the very least they should have made sure both sides were represented,’’ Joi said

Uh… I can’t help but laugh at the whininess behind it… they never give pro-lifers a “chance” and now they’re whining because we did something without affording them an opportunity for rebuttal? Give me a break!

It’s so scary when they are soooo focused on RvW being overturned and resorting to such abominable attacks.

I don’t think they could be arrested unless they are caught in the act by either the police or a witness who can i.d. them.

As far as Joi’s comment…duh, buy an ad!

I presume that they warn Chevrolet every time they run a Ford ad.
 
pro-choice advocates are hypocrites. They’re willing to go to extreme measures to get people to believe what they want, and are almost to the point where they’d murder (if they weren’t already doing it in the first place). They’re threatened by any idea that they might be questioned, so off they go on their “free speech” rant which pro-lifers aren’t allowed to have. 😑

Thank WanderAimlessly… I got the link from something they linked through in their post. I had four windows open trying to cut and past the URL for the article I got to post the whining pro-abortionists quote… I’m glad you wrote to BART though!! I did too! And I hope they enjoy getting some kudos instead of the rants and raves of some whining people that think it sooooooooo unfair that someone posted an ad that they don’t agree with. (Gee, I don’t agree with them killing babies, but they don’t seem to care.)
