There are some things in life you can control, and there are some things you can’t.
Among the things that you can’t control are: splitting & reabsorption of twins in early embryos, a large number of fertilized eggs (I’ve heard like 30-40%) failing to implant, and a whole host of other things that go on in early pregnancy.
Among the things you CAN control are whether you use drugs or implant devices or have surgeries that drastically and by their very nature are intended to change those outcomes.
Somehow the stuff that occurs naturally fits into God’s plan. Don’t ask me how, and I don’t think anyone really knows. But that doesn’t make it ok to use birth control pills or IUDs or abortion, just because there are some mechanistic questions that aren’t real easy to answer with our limited understanding of science as well as theology. The constant teaching of the church is clear on this point.
