PIERRE, S.D. - Doctors should not be forced to become mouthpieces for state abortion ideology, foes of a proposed abortion law will argue in court Wednesday.
Planned Parenthood of Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota filed the lawsuit earlier this month in an attempt to prevent HB1166 from becoming law on July 1. Wednesday’s hearing will help U.S. District Judge Karen Schreier decide if she should issue a temporary injunction that will prevent the law from being enacted Friday.
