Can “hate crime” arrests by the EU be far behind?
Abortion Pill RU486 Banned in Italy
By Gudrun Schultz

MILAN, Italy, February 1, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has banned imports of the abortion pill RU 486.

Although the drug is not licensed in Italy, it has been available on an “experimental” basis since 2002. Health Minister Francesco Storace said imports of the drug have “rocketed” in the past two years, in an interview with the UK Times.

Good- and if the EU complains, then the Italians should ignore them. Europe needs to reclaim its identity.

Most Europeans (from the times I have been to Europe) dislike the EU. Good for Italy! Viva Italia!

To say that most Europeans (and I mean the people, not the political or intellectual & economic elites) dislike the EU is an understatement. Italy is perhaps the first in line. I have family there & several Italian friends who live in this country, and they all say that membership was forced on them by their government, who naturally had many economic interests that would be well served by the EU.

There have already been several serious calls to get out of the EU, not just from ordinary Italians but also members of the legislature. It’s been a complete disaster for them economically already and they are very much concerned that the ridiculous regulations the EU seeks to promulgate will kill their strongest exports, i.e. agricultural & food products that rely on their authenticity for their value. As one of my friends put it, “When I buy Parmigiano cheese, I want to know that it came from Parma and not Holland!”

Also, don’t under-estimate the moral resolve of the Europeans. We get distorted reports about them here, just as they get about us. The majority of ordinary Europeans are just as religious as the ordinary American, and many of them are very upset about the potential havoc the EU can wreak on their freedom of worship.
