This is an interesting article from the Catholic World Report on abortion and underpopulation:
The Underpopulation Problem
The Underpopulation Problem
Ok, I read the article.
Seems to be saying that efforts at population control have had negative side effects. Steven W. Mosher addresses some concerns.
How about this.
1.Are you ready to adopt the child born to someone that should not raise the child, for whatever reason? There are parents who wait to adopt children
2.Some mothers and fathers do not want their babies. What should be done about this? They should give up their kids for adoption. If they don’t want kids, stop having intercourse.
3.When a child is abused, lets say at 9 years old, and cannot be sent home to his family, are you willing to finish raising him? That is what foster care and adoption is for.
Here is what I’d do-
1.Sterilize the biological parents and get the kid adopted out. I am to old to adopt.Adoption is good. But sterilization is againt Church teachings.
2.Make child abandonment a crime, 18 years in prison.I agree with you here.
3.Again I am too old. But get him out of the environment he was in. Obviously
Tough isn’t it? But unless we are willing to sacrifice for our faith, and that means being willing to fix things, we should just shut up.This comment was so UNnecessary. We are willing to fix things and that is what strive to (or at least try) do. Sterlization is not practicing our faith

Thanks for the link. I have never seen that site before. This video seems good, too. Also see “The Abortion Toll” which explains how abortion and underpopulation are wrecking the economy. We are on that path now.
