About Crystals

I started collecting crystals a couple of years ago. I have all sorts and I must admit I have specific ones that were recommended to me for blocking negative energy and keeping away bad spirits. The rest I collected through the years because I love how mother nature formed them and created them from the ground. Now I just recently learned that those cystals I previously bought for the Sole purpose of blocking and warding off negative energy and negative spirits are not approved by the Catholic church and Catholic teachings and those I am definitely going to get rid of.
My question is do I need to get rid of all the other crystals that I bought simply for the reason of how I love to look at them? In short are we as Catholics forbidden to collect crystals even if we do not intend to use them for healing or blocking anything negative? Just to display them in my cabinet is all I am doing.

A crystal, all by itself, is a morally neutral thing, something naturally occurring in the earth. I don't see any reason to get rid of all your crystals which, as you say, you only bought for their aesthetic appeal.

If you feel as though the ones you bought for the purposes which you describe are a stumbling block to you, then you might want to get rid of them. Find a reliable priest, orthodox in the Faith, and ask him what he recommends.
