I would take anything that the apostate D’Souza says with a tablespoon of salt.

His marital antics and his rejection of the Faith make him the last person I would consult on morality.

While he (perhaps rightly) accuses ex-President Barack Obama of being filled with “post-colonial” rage, he ignores that he has conveniently destroyed and denigrated his Asian Catholic heritage in order to fit in with the White Anglo-Saxon Protestant crowd.

For an authentic Catholic denunciation of the abomination that is Nazism, please read Pope Pius XI’s magnificent encyclical, “Mit Brennender Sorge”. 🙂

Did you actually read the article? It is actually quite good.

Or did you just want to pontificate on your opinion of Dinesh D’Sousa without actually having anything to say about the article? Do you have a comment on whether his statements in this article are true or not?
I don’t intend to attack you, but it does seem to me that your post didn’t amount to much more than a “poisoning of the well” attack.

Dear dshix,

The article is reasonably good, but it does contain inaccuracies: for example, it does not address the Protestant roots of German anti-Semitism, as evidenced by Luther’s magnum opus, “On the Jews and their Lies”. Of course, as a defector from the Catholic faith to Protestantism, such an inconvenient truth would have to be suppressed.

Note that there is no mention of the fact that the Catholic Church condemned Hitler, as opposed to the craven antics of Anglican pastors who claimed that if Hitler and Fascism fell, Christianity would be destroyed. The article does not mention Pius XI’s encyclical, which is a far more coherent and theologically sound condemnation of Nazism.

As a wise man said, the Devil will tell you a hundred truths for the pleasure of slipping in one lie (or obscuring a deeper truth.)

This is why I hold that it is always better to stick to reliable and traditional Catholic sources.

Also note that this article was published in 2007, before Mr. D’Souza abandoned his wife, committed adultery, and contracted an invalid marriage under the auspices of a Protestant pastor. I doubt “Catholic Education” would give him the time of day now. 🙂
