Hi, I’ve a question and not being in a parish at this time I was wondering if anyone knew the answer:
My ex-husband married his first wife in the Catholic church. They were both Catholic at the time of the wedding and actually married in a parish church. By the time they divorced, both had departed the church. There was no annulment.
When the ex and I married we were Pentecostals.
Now that I am considering returning to the Catholic church (Either Roman Catholic or Eastern Rite) My Fiancee (also a Catholic who is returning) and I would like to marry in the church. He has never been married.
So, my question is this: is it possible for us to be married in the church or does my previous marriage make that an impossibility?
Thanks in advance for any answers, they are appreciated.
