The Camaldolese of Monte Corona, or eremitic camaldolese. This small order numbering 9 hermitages throughout the world can be learned about here for those interested… catholicbookmark.com

But what I’m really here to say is… I’M ACCEPTED!!!
:extrahappy:

So rejoice with those who rejoice! At long last!

Oh, I know it could not work out in the end, but anyways I celebrate! I know that from here on out, the true testing begins, and weariness is hot on my heels, but this is cause for happiness anyhow! God has had such great mercy on those whom he has spared! How loving and good has Our Lady been to her servant!

Yippeeeeee! 🙂

congratulations, please keep up posted on your journey! god bless!

Congratulations…what do you mean it can’t work in the end?

Congratulations! May your journey be filled with the love of God and guidance by the Holy Spirit.

Mary.

God bless you on your journey. I will keep you in my prayers, SighGuy.😃

Congratulations! I’m praying that you can use your novice/formation time to discern if this is where God is calling you. May He bless you abundantly.

I think he was just admitting to the fact that it may not work out on the end, but it is whatever God wills. Don’t worry, I got confused when I read that line at first, too.

Anyway, Congratulations SighGuy! 🙂 May God bless you and keep you as you embark on his new stage in your life! 🙂

Wonderful that your plans are working out, through Jesus Christ. Let us pray one for another when we kneel.

Thank you, friends. Yes, the poster who de-coded my meaning was right: it was a mere qualifier.

Of course, as (or so I hear) St. Ignatius said, he would be grieved if his life-work, the Society of Jesus, were to crumble after his death. Then, after a few minutes, he returned to the thought, and said with fifteen minutes of prayer, even the loss of the Society would he be able to surrender to the will of God.

It would be good for all of us to adopt his openness to the will of God, myself included.

I was so excited last night, and only moments later I was so grieved at the same time as joyful. Thank you for your prayers and encouragement, and your prayers that God may grant me wisdom to discern if I am called to stay with the Holy Family hermitage.

👍

I am very happy to read about this. I am friends with an older gentlemen who is friends with the prior of that hermitage. I was given the book “Camaldolese Extraordinary” by him and it changed my life (truly).

God Bless!

All good wishes as you begin this adventure. I think Cornelius Wencel’s book The EremiticLlife is the finest available today that I know of. He is from the same hermitage you are entering.
