Claire Fitts, a parishioner of the Portland cathedral, called it “a great joy” to attend Mass in church. “This is the first time in ages that we’ve been able to be in church and see Jesus ourselves and receive Him.”

“As soon as the opening song started playing, I teared up.’

“People were so very happy to be back at Mass. I told them how wonderful it was to have more people to pray with,” said Fr John Skehan, parish priest… “I told them I felt as though I was praying with a congregation of bank robbers since they were all masked!”

Amen 🙂 It is so wonderful to be able to back to mass when I’m able .

It will probably be emotional when I am able to take communion again. Hopefully soon.

It was wonderful to be back in church as I was this past Sunday. I want to thank our Bishop Walkowiak for live-streaming of the mass and his sensitivity to our distress. Also I felt those at EWTN made special efforts for all of us at their Sunday mass and I appreciated their prayers for those of us who could not partake of the Eucharist at that time.
